Parking Regulations
YYJ ARLINE COMMUTER PARKING PERMIT: Once a commuter parking permit has been approved, you will receive an online invoice for payment. Once payment has been received, an access card and hang tag will be issued. Pick up at YYJ can be arranged or the access card and hangtag can be mailed to your address. Parking Permits are to be used by the Permit Holder only and are NON-TRANSFERABLE to any other employee, family member, friend or otherwise. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in the permit being cancelled immediately.
YYJ EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT ACCESS: The YYJ Employee Parking Lot is gated and requires an access card to gain entry and exit. You can use the intercom at the gate if you encounter any issues entering or exiting. Lot assignments and locations are subject to change without notice.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING: Accessible parking is available for those Pass Holders holding a valid Government issued disabled parking placard.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITES: Storage of vehicles, overnight camping, and illegal parking (i.e. fire lanes, motorcycle stalls, and landscaped areas) is not permitted. These activities are strictly prohibited, and non-compliant vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense and the Parking Pass will be cancelled. Maintenance or repairs of vehicles on-site is strictly prohibited. Further, any parked vehicle which, in the sole opinion of VAA, poses, or is likely to pose, any kind of hazard is strictly prohibited. This includes environmental hazards such as fuel, antifreeze, or oil leaks.
PETS: You are not permitted to leave pets in your vehicles while parked in the lot. This is effective year-round. The lot is regularly patrolled by security. Please leave all pets at home.
PAYMENT: Payment for a YYJ Commuter Parking Permit is due in full upon approval. Payments can be made online or by phone. An invoice will be sent via email upon approval of your application with payment instructions.
RENEWALS: VAA will coordinate annual renewals in December of each year. If the Pass Holder does not renew their YYJ Commuter Parking Permit prior to renewal date, the permit will be deactivated. The Permit Holder will then need to reapply for another pass if required in the future, having no priority over others who may be on a waiting list for a permit.
YYJ PARKING PASS CANCELLATION / EMPLOYMENT TERMINATION: You must notify VAA of the desired cancellation date of your YYJ Parking Permit prior to its cancellation. You will be required to return both the hang tag and access card to Victoria Airport Authority.
EARLY CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: When a YYJ Commuter Parking Permit is cancelled early before the end of the calendar year, the permit will be considered cancelled only after the access card and hang tag are returned, and any portion of fee paid for the unused months remaining in the term will be refunded.
CHANGE OF VEHICLE OR NEW VEHICLE: If you are using more than one vehicle, please provide all vehicle information to VAA. You will not receive multiple hang tags and will need to transfer your hang tag to the vehicle you are using. Any changes to registered vehicles (i.e. new license plate) or a new vehicle can be added to your account from the main parking page.
FORGOT YOUR HANG TAG / ACCESS CARD: You will need to park in the long-term lot for the day and pay the daily fee.
YOUR HANG TAG/ACCESS CARD WAS LOST/STOLEN: Report the loss or theft to Victoria Airport Authority by calling 250-953-7524. A $25 + GST fee will be administered for any lost/stolen hangtag and/or access cards.
LIABILITY: Victoria Airport Authority assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to a vehicle or its contents howsoever caused.
